Alumni Network
Establish and Grow Your Alumni Ecosystem
Alumni biotechnicians are potentially your most ardent supporters. If you’re not actively engaging them, we’re here to help! The Alumni Network Hub helps community college bioscience programs develop and expand their alumni networks and industry contacts. Alumni can aid in recruitment and retention efforts, help improve your programs, and provide industry connections for your biotechnology students.
What we can do for you:
- Help establish local and statewide biotechnician alumni networks.
- Provide materials and strategies to develop, maintain, and grow biotechnician alumni networks.
- Help identify opportunities for biotechnician alumni to engage in speed networking, informational interviews, guest speaker presentations, and internship opportunities.
- Assist in finding grants to support biotechnician alumni programs.

Building a Bioscience Community
The Alumni Network Hub serves as an alumni support center, helping both community colleges and graduates experience the benefits of a thriving bioscience alumni ecosystem. Participation in an alumni network offers biotechnicians valuable professional development opportunities—including staying connected with students and other professionals and building interview and presentation skills. Community colleges, in turn, gain valuable support in student recruitment, retention, and post-graduate placement.
Connecting biotech programs and students with alumni maintains relationships with industry partners and fosters a broader sense of bioscience community. By interacting with alumni, students gain insights into biotechnology career pathways and access to internship opportunities. Alumni success stories build students’ confidence in the biotechnology program and prospects of placement in the industry workforce. Interacting with alumni increases students’ sense of science identity–helping them envision themselves in a successful bioscience career.
